FORT RAMON MAGSAYSAY, Nueva Ecija – The 1st Civil Military Operations (KAKAMPI) Company of the 7th Civil Military Operations (GWAPO) Battalion, 7ID, PA opened the 1stSta. Rosa Youth Leadership Summit 2014 with the theme “Youth of Today, Leaders of Tomorrow” at the 7ID Covered Court which started today (May 26) and will end on May 29, 2014.
Participants of the YLS Summit are composed of 100 youths coming from the different baranggays of Sta Rosa. The YLS Summit Opening was attended by Honorable Josefino M Angeles, the Municipal Mayor ofSta Rosa, Nueva Ecijawho was also the Guest of Honor and Speaker of the activity.
The 1stSta Rosa Youth Leadership Summit 2014 is a four day stay-in activity where delegates coming from the thirty (33) Barangays of Sta Rosa, Nueva Ecija will participate. They will be given a series of lectures and interactive discussions which focus on leadership and the role of the youth in nation building. Issues concerning the environment and its protection, drug abuse, human rights and spiritual values will also be tackled to supplement the knowledge of the participants.
Moreover, their problem solving skills as an individual and cooperation as a member of their group will be tested and put into use. They will be taught to harness their skills and bring out the best in themselves.

May you serve as good examples of being a responsible youth to others especially to the future generations. May you develop good interpersonal skillswith your fellow participants; build self- confidence, teamwork, discipline and develop leadership skills,” Honorable Josefino M Angeles, Municipal Mayor, Sta Rosa Nueva Ecija said in his message as GOHAS.
“You will be given a chance to be part of something very enriching, something very challenging, and most of all, something life-changing. Each one of you who comes into Fort Magsaysay for this activity will leave a changed person. More than enjoying the next few days, I personally urge all of you to learn. The activities have been designed in accordance to the leadership parameters set by the National Youth Commission and these activities have been replicated all over the country. You are the Youth of Today, our Leaders tomorrow. The 7th Infantry (KAUGNAY) Division is happy to host this Summit,” Brig Gen Elmer C Pabale, Assistant Division Commander, 7ID said in his message.
