“I’m not very much concern with the initial success of the operations, rather, bloodshed could have been avoided had the NPAs chose to stop terrorizing the innocent masses, return to the fold of the law, and work hand in hand with all stakeholders for the attainment of peace and prosperity in this part of the region,” said Lieutenant Colonel Arsenio D Sadural, Commanding Officer, 30th Infantry “Python” Battalion.
Colonel Ferdinand F Quidilla, Commander of the Army’s 402ND Brigade said, “We condole and extend our deepest sympathy to the families of the dead rebels. It was sad that they have taken arms against the peace loving people within the Brigade AOR. We call on those rebels to come out and lay down their arms peacefully and will be given proper attention.”
Major General Ricardo R Visaya, Commander of the Army’s 4ID said, “This is our commitment to protect the people and secure our environment and keep our society from harm against these NPA rebels. We thank the local populace in the area for these efforts as they provided the necessary information which led to the successful conduct of our operations.”
