Army’s CMO students provides assistance to gov’t relief operation

FORT ANDRES BONIFACIO, Taguig City – Students from the Civil Military Operation School (CMOS) of the Army’s Civil Military Operations Group (CMOG) who are currently undergoing Civil Affairs Course Class 12-2014 provided humanitarian assistance to the government’s relief operation to victims of typhoon “Glenda”. 

Army Captain Rusticarlo Magno led the students in repacking of relief goods on Saturday at MIA Road, Pasay City, Metro Manila along with other volunteers from Prulife Financial Management Company headed by Dr. Florel Romualdes and Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) personnel headed by Mrs. Elsa P Buelina, the Director of Disaster Rescue and Relief Operation (DRRO). 

The distribution and beneficiaries is yet to be determined by the DSWD. 

As in the past calamities that struck the country, Army personnel were proven to be effective partners in various government agencies particularly the DSWD in the performance of Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Response (HADR). 

In times like this were a large number of individuals are needed to be deployed for HADR, the Philippine Army remains steadfast and focused in delivering their utmost commitment to provide quality forces in the pursuit of its constitutionally mandated core purpose of serving the people and securing the land.
