NSFA, Panacan, Davao City– The Commander of the AFP’s Eastern Mindanao Command Maj. Gen. Aurelio B. Baladad visited the headquarters of the Army’s 10th Infantry Division (10ID), the home of the Eagles in Mawab, Compostela Valley Province around 9:00 a.m., of September 16. His visit was part of his official duties to units under his supervision and control as commander of the Eastern Mindanao Command (EastMinCom) to be able to meet the soldiers personally and to assess the implementation of the Internal Peace and Security Plan “Bayanihan”.<!–more–>
Maj. Gen. Baladad was warmly welcomed by the officers and men of the 10th Infantry Division under Maj. Gen. Eduardo M. Ano punctuated with a traditional military honors followed by a brief on the current security situation in Davao region.
At the end of the briefing, Maj. Gen. Baladad congratulated the soldiers of the 10th ID for its efforts and devotion to their duties to win the peace particularly in the affected areas of Compostela Valley Province duly participated in by state agencies and civilian stakeholders. “Team work and collaboration with our local PNP, LGUs, NGOs, POs and CSOs is the key to winning the peace in the region”. The new commander of Eastern Mindanao Command Commander was accompanied by selected unified staff in visiting the units as well as in paying courtesy calls to local chief executives in the region.
