FORT BONIFACIO, Taguig City – In celebration of the 114th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary, the Philippine Army recognized 10 Outstanding Civilian Performers and conferred Long Service Pins to senior civilian employees during the Flag Raising Ceremony earlier today, September 29, at Headquarters Philippine Army.
Mrs. Rosalina dela Paz, the Chief of the Civilian Personnel Office, received the Command Plaque, for her outstanding contribution to the Philippine Army, particularly for her steadfast service and commitment to improve the civilian personnel management system.
Also included in the 2014 Civil Service Outstanding Employees, receiving Plaque of Appreciation, were Mrs. Badria Gonato, Chief of the Accounting Services, Philippine Army; Mrs. Elvira Buzon, Chief of the Army Property Accountability Office; Dr Antonietta Ramos of the 1354th Army Dental Clinic; Dr Catherine Rayos of the 1301st Dental Dispensary; Engr. Winifredo Abalos of the Army Signal Regiment; Ms. Ma. Carla Katrina S Lacanienta of the Army Resource Management Office; Mrs. Josefina Raymundo of Finance Center; Mrs. Pelilia A Agbisit of the NCR Regional Community Defense Group; and Mr. Moises Petalio of the Army General Hospital.
Brig. Gen. Demosthenes Santillan, Vice Commander, Philippine Army, presented the said awards, and also conferred the Long Service Pins to the following employees who has served the Command for almost four decades already: Mr. James Barrera, Mrs. Bernidia Rigos, Ms. Nelia F Sim, Mrs. Nila Visperas, Mrs. Filomena Sanchez, Mr. Jaime Banico, Mrs. Editha Villanueva, Mrs. Isidra Tayag, Mr. Conrado Delos Santos, and Mrs. Aurelia Alupit.
“The awards that you received today recognize your long and loyal service as well as your unwavering commitment to be part of the Philippine Army’s transformation. These are tokens not only of the military institution’s, but also of the entire nation’s sincere thanks for your service as defense civilians and professionals,” said Army Chief Lt Gen Hernando DCA Iriberri in a statement delivered by the Army Vice Commander, Brig. Gen. Demosthenes C Santillan.
“Sa inyong mahusay na paglilingkod, nabigyang buhay ninyo ang temang ika-114 na Anibersaryo ng Civil Service, ‘Tapat na Serbisyo Alay Ko Dahil Lingkod Bayani Ako.’ Saganang ito, marapat lang talaga kayong kilalanin na mga LINGKOD BAYANI dahil sa maraming taon ng inyong sakripisy oat paglilingkod sakabila ng payak ninyong sahod,” Lt Gen Iriberri added.
Meanwhile, Brig. Gen. Rafael Valencia, Chief of Staff, Philippine Army, also administered the oath of 60 newly-promoted, re-employed and appointed civilian employees.
“Patuloy ninyong isabuhay ang diwa ng Lingkod Bayani kasabay ng inyong pagganap ng tungkulin at pakikiisa sa pagtupad ng mga layunin at misyon ng Hukbong Katihan at buong Sandatahang Lakas ng Pilipinas. Aasahan ko ang inyong suporta sa pagtataguyod ng diwa ng Bayanihan at mga nasimulan na nating hakbang sa Army Transformation Roadmap,” Lt Gen Iriberri concluded.
