45IB Participatesin the 3rd Pastil Festival of Datu Piang, Maguindanao


Datu Unsay, Maguindanao–On November 25, 2014, the 45th Infantry (Gallant) Battalion, under the leadership of Lt. Colonel Romeo N Bautista III, Acting Commanding Officer, participated inthe 78th Founding Anniversary and 3rd Pastil Festival of Datu Piang, Maguindanao with thetheme: “Masaganang Pag-uusap Susi sa Mapayapa at Masaganang Bayan”.

As part of the celebration, various significant activities were conducted, such asthe presentation of thepupils and students from different schools, the giving plaque of appreciation to the different stakeholders,the giving of messages of the different guests and themedical and dental mission facilitated by the Provincial Health Office of Maguindanao in partnership of this unit.

The Guest of Honor and Speaker (GOHAS) during the said occasion was Hon. Datu Khadafy Mangudadatu, Assemblyman 2ndDistrict of Maguindanao. He congratulated the LGU- Datu Piang for the success of the celebration and making the municipality as model to other towns. Other provincial and local officials of the province also attended the occasion.

Hon. Genuine Kamaong Sr.,Mayor of Datu Piang, extended his gratitude for the support of the different stakeholders,especiallyto the full support of the AFP in the security of his municipality.

Likewise, Lt. Colonel Bautista III, alsostated in his message that 45IB troopers and the AFP fully support the communities in Maguindanao and will continue its mandate in securing the land towards peace and development.

Military personnel from other units,Local Chief Executives (LCEs), local officials, religious leaders, media practitioners and civilian friendswitnessed the said occasion and as the highlight of the festival,Pastilswere served to the individuals. The activity successfully culminated through the support and cooperation of different stakeholders of the community.
